My dear sweet friend Cheri brings us mini gingerbread houses to decorate each year. She makes them herself. Yes, I know...how cool is that? She brings each child a house, frosting and candy. Should be loads of fun. Of course with the excitement and the hub bub of arguing over the chairs and who gets what candy and who got more and on and on every gingerbread making or egg coloring must start off with mommy laying down the law and threatening to end the party before it ever gets started. Patrick thought it was noteworthy enough to capture on film. Of course none of you can fully appreciate my angry face picture without the accompanying "satan voice" I use (my kids actually warn their friends, "oh oh here comes her satan voice!"

Now that I've put the fear of all mean mothers into my kids we can get on with the decorating. Carlie discovered the bag of candy and was completely oblivious to the little houses. The boys were not so pleased when she'd lick each piece of candy and set it back down for them to use. Ey..there was lots to choose from. She had to try them all.
But eventually she decided her favorite of the night was the frosting, and who needs to like your fingers when you can just smash it into your face?

For whatever reason Josh had to dress as a jedi to decorate his house.

Jacob wanted Patrick to judge the house and come up with a grand prize winner. No Jacob...we are not going to Sonic for icecream. Eat the cute little house!
Jared ended up pulling Carlie's candy discards off the floor to finish his house. He is such a germaphobe!

And the finished product...and look....they're all still alive and smiling after. Carlie is just noticing the little houses...cute...can we eat them?
